Author Guidelines

Before submitting, authors should familiarize themselves with the journal's policies and the associated Publication Fees listed on Alassema University Scientific Journal (AUSJ) website. All manuscripts and supplementary files must be submitted online through the journal's platform. Initially, authors are required to provide TWO ITEMS ONLY:

1.     The article’s metadata (including authors, affiliations, keywords, etc.)

2.     An anonymous manuscript document that contains the article text along with embedded tables and figures (high resolution is not required at this stage).

After final acceptance, authors must upload the following:

·       A plain text file of the article

·       A title page

·       Separate high-resolution files for each figure

·       Separate files for each table

·       A file listing the legends for figures and tables

·       A complete reference list, including DOIs where applicable

For detailed requirements regarding the content and format of these files, please refer to the sections below.

Original Research

AUSJpublishes original research articles of high scientific quality across various applied science disciplines, including English language, business administration, accounting, law, and information technology. Manuscripts should be structured into sections: Abstract/Keywords, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgments, References, and Table and Figure legends. The word count from Introduction to Conclusion should not exceed 3500 words, and the text should be presented in complete sentences and paragraph form. Generally, these articles should have no more than six authors and include up to 10 high-quality illustrations and tables, along with about 25 references.

Abstract/Keywords

A structured abstract of up to 250 words is required, with subheadings in the following order: Purpose, Materials and Methods, Results, and Conclusions. References should not be included in the abstract. Abbreviations may be used but must be defined upon first use. Authors can list up to 5 keywords derived from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) available at MeSH Browser.

Introduction

The Introduction should succinctly describe the problem that prompted the study, provide a brief overview of existing knowledge through relevant references, and state the research objectives and/or hypotheses.

Materials and Methods

This section must detail the materials or subjects used, methods employed, and overall study design. Authors should include a statement of ethical approval for all human research, describe the sample characteristics, treatments applied, and principal outcome measures, as well as the statistical methods used.

Results

Results should be presented clearly and concisely, using appropriate formats such as text, tables, and figures, without redundancy. Significant statistical findings must be reported with corresponding data and p-values.

Discussion

The discussion should relate the findings to the stated hypothesis and existing literature, noting agreements or discrepancies with other studies. Limitations should be acknowledged, and suggestions for future research should be provided.

Conclusions

This section should offer a brief summary of the key findings.
